The AMI-II Powercon Acid Pre-Rinse is an analyser designed for the automatic, continuous measurement of cation (acid) conductivity. It monitors conductivity after the water has passed through a cation exchange resin, also known as conductivity after cation exchange (CACE), to indicate the presence of potentially corrosive ionic contaminants. A second, continuously rinsed cation exchanger provides pre-rinsed resin that is ready for immediate use, allowing fast resin replacement and improved measurement availability. The system provides real-time water quality data to help prevent corrosion, support reliable plant operation and improve maintenance planning.

AMI-II Powercon Acid Pre-rinse Specifications
The AMI-II Powercon Acid Pre-rinse includes the AMI-II Powercon transmitter, UP-Con1000-SL conductivity sensor, Catcon-Plus-SL flow cell and an additional pre-rinse cation resin column. The complete system is mounted on a stainless steel panel and is ready for installation and operation.
The additional cation exchanger is continuously rinsed, providing pre-rinsed resin that is ready for immediate use. This allows fast resin replacement and improves measurement availability.
The transmitter includes two signal outputs for measured values or continuous control, two relays configurable as limit switches or controllers, an alarm relay for summary alarm indication and an input for a potential-free contact.
The flow cell is equipped with a manual flow adjustment valve, digital sample flow meter and integrated cation exchanger vessel with automatic deaeration.
